Impact
of Capital Productivity Increment on Economic Growth
Evaluating the effect of capital productivity on the country’s growth policy has shown a considerable potential for accelerating economic growth. An increment of 8% in the capital productivity can increase 1.5% in the GDP in the next 6 years and produce in 2026 a per capita product at least 26% higher as compared to the present trend. Carlos Feu Alvim, Frida Eidelman, Olga Mafra e Omar Campos Ferreira e Rafael Macêdo The macroeconomic projection program projetar_e has been entirely remade and its performance has considerably improved and it is easier to use. The data bank was separately organized and can be regularly updated. An example of scenario construction is presented. The net external liability calculation was restructured using the Brazilian external capital stock calculation. Follow-up of the Partnership Contract between e&e and MCT: As announced in the No 53 issue of this periodical, the e&e Organization has signed with the Ministry of Science and Technology two Partnership Contracts. The dissemination of results in this periodical is an explicit commitment of the Partnerships and, after all, a way of providing healthy inspection by society of projects using governmental resources for producing public information. 1. Basis for a Capital Productivity Increment Program The project’s summary was presented in the No 53 issue of this periodical. In the present issue we present two articles produced by the project. It has also been constructed at the Interned a page on the subject containing information about the project and a bibliographic reference data bank at : http://ecen.com/produtividade_de_capital .2. Consolidation of Carbon Balance As established in the Project we are disseminating its content and the chronogram of tasks that has been revised due to the delay regarding provision of resources. The partial and final results will be accordingly disseminated by this periodical. |
